We, the Holy Cross Sisters, are a dedicated congregation of women religious, committed to serving humanity with faith, compassion, and selfless love. We actively engage in a wide range of ministries—including education, healthcare, social services, pastoral care, and frontline ministries — especially among the poor and marginalized. Rooted in the Gospel values of service, sacrifice, and human dignity, we strive to uplift lives and bring hope to those in need. Through our schools, healthcare centers, hostels, elderly care, and parish involvement, we faithfully live out the mission of Christ in today’s world.
Founder
1808 – 1865
A Swiss Capuchin priest, visionary pastor, and pioneer of social reform. He worked tirelessly for the poor and lived by the words, “The need of the time is the will of God,” inspiring lasting change in education and charitable service. His compassion and dedication continue to guide the mission and values of the congregation. He established many houses and even purchased factories to uplift communities—despite owning no money himself.

1825 – 1888
A woman of deep faith, courage, and compassion, she was the first Superior General of the congregation. Gifted with strong social awareness and a committed spirit, she guided the sisters for 31 years with her motto, “Totally dedicated to the Crucified and therefore totally to the neighbor.” Her life of patience and trust continues to inspire many.
